Does eating healthy matter when you’re happy and relaxed?

Wine a plenty!
Wine a plenty!

In the last third of a European trip, it’s been on my mind that I quaff coffee on an empty stomach, eat chocolate croissants for breakfast and break all my own rules, yet still manage to “make the toilet” as some would say here in Europe. And I am talking the healthy kind.

Increasingly I am becoming aware of how powerful our mentality is on wellbeing.

The Europeans think we have such a relaxed life in Australia. I can tell you first hand (and so can my body) that European life in its authentic form is better for me that a bowl of broccoli.

Something to consider when undertaking a detox I think.

Meanwhile, buon appettito!

Pan Con Tomate: In Spain, particularly Barceona, tomato on bread is everywhere. The trick is to first, rub the bread with raw garlic and finish off with a drizzle of olive oil. No salt and pepper needed.

Cinghiale - means wild boar in Italian. My hosts hunted and prepared this dish especially for me. Took 2 days to cook. It was delicious
