About
Foodiecure is all about Holistic Gastronomy. Holistic Gastronomy is my term for the amalgamation of culinary arts and the philosophy ‘food as medicine’. Simply put, it’s fancy food gone healthy. To eat well, I don’t believe there should be a compromise of taste and sensory stimulation. Inherently the concept encourages passion for food and respect for our health while living more sustainably. The basis for Holistic Gastronomy is the Integrated Medicine model of nutrition. This model brings together dietary principles from Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy, Ayurvedic and Alopathic Medicine. However it is so much more than the micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) we consume. It is also how we eat to promote maximum digestion so we can benefit from all those gorgeous nutrients. The benefits to eating this way aren’t limited to feeling better. Weight management and health maintenance are interchangeable. If you get your digestion working efficiently you can handle a little splurge here and there without so much as a blip on your health-radar. Your weight will balance out and be more constant as your body becomes more efficient at extracting nutrients and expelling waste. The primary cause of weight gain is toxins in the system that aren’t properly eliminated…
